Comforting Hearts ministries was started on March 15, 1999 by our founder John C. Mac Iver. We began with the premise that we wanted to help any heart in distress with the same comfort we ourselves had received from God, 2 Corinthians1:3-4 And we did try to help anyone who God saw fit to bring into our path. Then in 2001, we met a group of imprisioned sex offenders who were all alone.; no family, no friends, no hope. It was at that time God said, "This is who you are to help." Honestly, we weren't happy about it. we believed all the myth and hype the media portrays. Until Jesus changed our hearts! He introduced us to repentant Sex Offenders and said, "Minister to them, for if you minister to the least of my children you've ministered unto me." And that's what we've been doing ever since and we love our work!
